My name is Mr Evans and I am the class teacher for Y5 at Nant-y-Parc Primary School.

In Wonderful Welsh Cakes we are always enthusiastic about learning new things and have a growth mindset.  We are caring, kind and role models for others.  Teaching and learning will always be personal, exciting and fun! We will learn through engaging in new experiences, practising, and most importantly mistakes! We try our best and love to be challenged.  Our goals this year will include becoming the best verisons of ourselves and how we can support others. We will look to the future with great anticipation, as we can achieve anything with the right attitude and effort!

CLASS TIMINGS 09.00 - 15.15 (Doors open 8.50am)

Important Information

• Homework will be set via Google Classroom every Friday. Homework needs to be 'turned in' by the following Thursday. If you are emailing homework, please email to: [email protected], but try wherever possible to submit homework using the 'turn in' facility on Google Classroom. 

• Spellings will be set via Reading Eggs on a fortnightly basis. Your child will then be tested on these spellings in school. 

• Please refer to 'Diary of Events' for upcoming events.

P.E/Outdoor Learning

Our P.E sessions will take place on Wednesdays

P.E kit (including trainers) will need to be worn on both of these days for this term. As we will try to be outdoors as much as possible, please make sure your child has appropriate clothing for the varying weather conditions. 

PE uniform for pupils must be a plain red t-shirt and black shorts/ tracksuit bottoms. Pupils can come to school in their PE it on their allocated PE day.
